ISO 9001 is an internationally recognized quality assurance model. ISO 9001 registration demonstrates a company’s commitment to process management and control, continuous improvement, long-term cost savings, and proven performance.

SGI obtained full ISO registration in 2001 under the ISO 9001:1994 standard. We have since converted to the ISO 9001:2000 standard, the most current certification available. ISO registration is not a one-time event. An independent, third-party ISO auditor performs additional evaluations and audits SGI annually. During these return visits, the auditor reviews portions of the management system to ensure that we continue to meet the ISO 9001 requirements.

Attaining and maintaining this level of quality is an integral part of SGI’s management strategy. SGI rigorously employs ISO processes to achieve consistently improving performance, resulting in world-class results in dock-to-stock time, inventory accuracy, and order turnaround and accuracy. We have clear processes for identifying problems and the preventive and corrective actions to take to document, eliminate, or prevent process breakdowns. We incorporate our client’s needs into our quality system to ensure the highest levels of order accuracy and customer satisfaction.

"Quality" is in everyone's job description. When an employee sees a way to improve a work process, he or she is encouraged to share the idea with a manager, make a suggestion through our successful I-Power program, or submit a request for preventive action.
